

The mission of AAVIP is to ensure maximum participation of eligible African American voters in civic and political activities through increased education, voter registration and voter turnout, as well as provide information and increased political influence of the African-American community through public dialogue, issue advocacy, and policy recommendations on issues of interest to the African American community.
AAVIP began in March of 2004, with a vision to educate, empower, mobilize and encourage African-Americans in the political process. AAVIP is a non-profit, non-partisan voter outreach and voter education project of the Colorado Black Women Endowment Fund. The CBWEF is the 501(c)(3) education arm of Colorado Black Women for Political Action and is responsible for the financial management, accounting, and reporting of grant funds received.
