Current law permits Denver 's Election Plan, and the recent defeat of Senate Bill 189 has no affect on Denver 's Election Plan. Denver Clerk and Recorder, Stephanie O'Malley stated early on that counties should be able to choose their own election model. We favor choice and local control for the counties as does most of the Denver City Council.
